Libertarian Activism at the University of Florida

The front page article for "The Independent Alligator" today was an analysis of the reaction of different political groups on the University of Florida campus to President Bush's State of the Union address. The Libertarian Activist Network -of which I am a cofounder and vice-president- received the feature picture of the article and received an acceptable amount of mention in the text itself. We have yet to see how this unexpected amount of publicity will effect the growth of libertarian activism at the University of Florida but we can only hope that it will be favorable. It is certainly refreshing to see libertarians in the spotlight for a change and the media deviating away from it's blind acceptance of the Republican/Democrat false dichotomy.
